An indoor cycling class involves the instructor at the front of the room guiding the trainees through different positions and exercises on the bike. The exercises and positions on the bike are intended to mimic situations encountered in outdoor cycling which include mountain climbs, sprints and salt flats.
It is considered the best aerobic-anaerobic exercise program for all levels of exercisers. It is based on the principles of outdoor cycling using a specific way of creating a training goal. Depending on the training goal of each lesson, the basic techniques are alternated based on the following training principles:
