Evgenia Papadopoulou was born in Kavala Greece.
She is a Second Generation Certified Pilates Teacher, a Pilates Master Teacher Trainer with The Pilates Standard and a NCPT® Certified Teacher (PMA).
Evgenia has an energetic, positive, dynamic and sincere attitude towards life and likes to take challenges which appear into her life.
With a dance background in Classical Ballet and modern dance she came across the Pilates Method in 1990 while attending the 1st year of the Body Mind Centering Certification Program with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen in Amherst, MA, USA.
Two years later she decided to follow her dream and she found herself in New York where she enrolled the 1st Pilates Certification Program in the history of the Pilates Method with Romana Kryzanowska at the Pilates Studio, NY. Her other mentor was Bob Liekens. She completed the 600 hours Comprehensive Program on the Classical Pilates Method and got certified in 1993.
From 1987 till the end of 1994 she continued her dance education in Berlin, Germany (classical ballet, contemporary dance). During this time she attended several workshops of body-mind practices such as Dance Therapy, Feldenkrais Method, Shiatsu at the Ohashi Shiatsu Center, Berlin, Breathing Therapy, Body Mind Centering while she also took Yoga and Tai Chi classes.
In 1995 she returned to Athens-Greece where she opened the Corpus Ray Studio one of the first Pilates studios in the country.
In 2005 she decided to take her Pilates education a step forward. She became a Teacher Trainer under the supervision of Bob Liekens. Corpus Ray is the TPS® Affiliate Training Center in Greece. Since then she has been attending annually the Enhancement programs for Teacher Trainers in the U.S.A and in Europe.
She has also attended several workshops among others with Lolita San Miguel, Brett Howard, Moses Urbano, Kathi Ross-Nash, Samantha Wood, Rael Isacowitz, Keren Kipplinger.
In 2017 she completed the L.E.A.P (Learning Educational Advancement Program) with Bob Liekens and in 2022 the Classical Syllabus® with Mejo Wiggin.
She also was the first President of the Greek Pilates Association. She resigned in 2013.
Evgenia speaks Greek, English, French and German.
